Sunday Funday: From brunch to the high roller 🎲
Sunday to me means mimosas and pool side lounging but unfortunately I’m usually working and unable to partake in said activities. But not this past Sunday ! I had a few days off to travel to New York for ASOC Warehouse a show put on by Dj Carnage but failed to actually board the plane but that is a whole different blog post.
To start the day off we all wanted to head to brunch but the night before was spent pulling an all nighter partying at both Terrace after-hours at Hustler Club and Drais after-hours in the Cromwell so we had to find a brunch that went well into the afternoon if we stool any chance of making it for mimosas.
We find refuge at Bonefish Grille located at Town Square on the boulevard. They’re bottomless bubbles brunch goes until 2pm. So we arrive and our friends already had table so we went right in with our drink orders .
After a few rounds of sangria and mimosas out very attentive and cute server Nikki (she’s the real MVP, I’ll tell you later) came by and took our food orders. I really wanted some asparagus and recently coming off of a vegetarian diet I wanted to get some seafood and eggs so I ordered the crab omelette with asparagus.
The food was oh so yummy I’m not sure what everyone else ordered but me being me I had to snap away photos of everything.
So the time is counting down to last call for brunch drinks, in any normal circumstances that would be fine but we got to brunch super late with only 30 minutes of mimosa drinking. So here comes Nikki to save the day. She told us to get our drink on and she would keep them coming until they closed down the mimosa bar. Yay ! Bring on the Bellini’s 🍷
Now that we’ve got our brunch fix, it’s time to head to the pool.
Our favorite house music magician Dj Lema was on the decks getting groovy for the crowd. Giving us Miami rooftop party vibes here in Vegas which was really refreshing.
While we’re hanging out backstage with Lema I see a lady that looks super familiar and I asked Silver did she look familiar to him too and he was like OMG that’s the singer Mikalah Gordon. So yes it was, we talked and got some photos with both her and her awesome girlfriend Lisa Pittman, Las Vegas legend on the hip hip scene playing all over the valley and on Hot 97.5
The sun’s starting to set but the party is still going, the weather is perfect and I’m thinking wow what a good Sunday let’s wrap it up and head out…well I had another thing coming. A ton of our friends found us and we started the party up again, gotta love Vegas.
Running into my rave family at the pool was great. We are together often anyway but being on the same vibe in the same place is always super chill. We went back out to the pool for a few then it was time to go.
So now we’re hungry again and head over to strip burger at the fashion show mall across the street from the Wynn and Encore.
After we got our food coma nap, Lisa and I decide to head over to the high roller. That’s the big observation wheel (basically a huge ass Ferris wheel) that’s on the strip located in the Linq. About a week earlier I went with my Utah babe Kristy and still had a ticket left for the 30 minute open bar.
The light was still out and it was my friends first time going so I wanted to wait until it got dark before we got on the ride. But then she had a good point, the sun would be setting soon so by the time we got out of line and up to the loading dock it would be dark. So we went up with a pretty short line and small group in our cabin.
My friend wasn’t feeling too well so we tried to keep the drinking to the minimum. But we had the sweetest bartender from New Zealand and she made us all a few rounds of drinks including a celebratory shot once we reached the 550 feet highest point at the top of the wheel.
Today was a goooood day, now it’s time to take that butt to bed and get ready to take on the work week.
Toodles Lovies 😘
